The End is Near…
Check out a minute long video that captures some of our time in the studio!
Happy Holidays!
Demos!
Hello All!
These past couple of months have been very busy for me, especially August! I’ve finished writing all the songs that will be on the album and the start of August has also brought the start of demoing!
I’ve been constantly in and out of my rehearsal space, working there and at home, recording, playing back, and recording over again to help me figure out the best sounds I want for each of my songs. It’s been a fun but somewhat tedious project. Besides the lyrics of my songs, I’ve never gone through each and every individual part of a song so thoroughly like I have been with these songs.
I’m trying to detach myself from each song to gain an outside perspective and to make constructive adjustments from a listener’s point of view while trying not to lose touch of that initial feeling that provoked the song to be written in the first place. I’m taking a very different approach than I did with my last album, which is possibly why it’s also taking longer for me to finish, but I assure you it’ll be worth it!
With all that being said I’m excited to say that my good friend and wonderful drummer Derek Johnson will be joining me at the end of the month to help write and record drum tracks for the album!! Derek and I have been working together here and there for the past 9 years and I cannot express how excited I am to have him out here! I’m so very glad our schedules coincided the way that they did to allow it.
Time for me to get back to work!!!

The End…
Yesterday I checked out the inaugural artist/client open house at {The End} in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
What a beautiful, beautiful space. I really look forward to the possibility of calling {The End} my home for the week or two I spend recording my full length.
Finely crafted live rooms with ceilings that ebb and flow and walls that are perfectly measured out and constructed to make sure the sound of the room stays full of breath and life. This is just the start of a wonderful facility. A full kitchen, two artist lounges, a showcase live room, plus TWO roof decks to top things off.
Please take the time and visit the future of recording in Brooklyn. {The End} is a good place for community to be brought back into the Brooklyn music scene.
Sorry I forgot to snap some pictures! but they have many on their website so check it out!
Much love, and more updates to be coming soon.
